My husband and I try to support small business or individuals trying to grow their business. Through conversations of trying to get a recommendation to have a new unit installed, I was given this owners name. It seemed all went well until about 6 months after the unit was installed it failed. We called the owner and he gave us much grief to have to come out to look at and fix the issue. He said it was an incorrectly installed drain pan. The unit was fixed and now one year later we are having issues again. My husband decided to call a larger company to come out and give us their diagnostic. The news was not good. The tech told us that Mr. Folkerts technician installed the copper line to the condensor as two pieces soldered together. This is an inexpensive short cut used that resulted in a major leak. The leak has been happening for a very long time and the majority of the refrigerant is gone. I would not recommend this company solely because of the attitude the owner gave us the first time we had to call him to come inspect his work.
